Mysuru: Prime minister Narendra Modi will address a public gathering in Mysuru and Chitradurga, today. Mysuru BJP workers have arranged for people to have an opportunity of clicking a selfie with the Prime Minister.
After completing a public rally in Chitradurga, PM Modi will address a gathering in Mysuru at 5 PM in Maharaja College Stadium. He will will reach Mysore Airport in Mandakalli at 4:40 PM and will be escorted by the Special Protection Group (SPG) who are tasked with the responsibility ensuring the Prime Minister’s security.
PM Modi will campaign for Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha candidate Pratap Simha.
BJP workers have set up a selfie zone just next to the dais. Youths will be given the provision of taking a selfie with the Prime Minister.
People from Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Mysuru and surrounding areas are expected to attend the event.
"A selfie zone has been set up just next to the dais to enable youths to click a selfie with the PM," said MLA SA Ramadas, as reported by Kannada Prabha.
Party leaders will also present PM Modi with an idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari and a Kannada translation of a poem written by Modi in 1986.
Tight security has been arranged in Mysuru and police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed in strategic locations. Security drills have also been conducted ahead of the event.
