Virat Kohli is the current skipper of Team India across formats, while his wife Anushka Sharma happens to be one of the most popular actresses in Bollywood. The two have time and again contributed to social causes, as they currently do the same for the COVID relief campaign.
India is currently fighting through the severe second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, with cases on record rise every day. Furthermore, the lack of basic medical amenities and oxygen has made it difficult to treat the patients.
As a result, celebrities from across genres have played their part in contributing to the cause. Meanwhile, some are also generating enough funds to help the government for the same.
In the same light, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his Bollywood wife, Anushka Sharma, have been fighting for the cause. The two launched a fund-generating campaign through Ketto on Friday and contributed ₹2 crore as their share.
Meanwhile, less than 24 hours since the launch, the campaign has already grossed more than ₹3.6 crore, as Virushka expect the target of ₹7 crore to be attained in the coming few days. They took to their respective social media handles to share the news.

Meanwhile, Anushka addressed, "Grateful to everyone who has donated so far. Thank you for your contribution 🙏. We have crossed the half way mark, let’s keep going."
In the past 24 hours, India registered more than 4.01 lakh new COVID cases, with the death toll climbing to 4,187 on Friday. New lockdown norms are being placed in every state, as a few are also imposing complete lockdown to curb the rise of the infection rate.
