Under-19 Asia Cup has been postponed to 2021. The tournament was to be held in UAE but has been rescheduled because of the ongoing pandemic. India are the defending champions, having won their seventh title in 2019.

The upcoming mega cricketing tournament post IPL, the ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, which was to be held in November in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), stands postponed, said a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official. Asian Cricket Council (ACC) asked the member boards about their opinions of organizing the U-19 Asia Cup before taking the final call to scrap it this year.  It will now be conducted at a comfortable time in 2021.

"The Under-19 Asia Cup [that was expected to be played in November 2020] has been postponed and will be played in 2021," BCB's game development manager, AEM Kawsar confirmed to Cricbuzz. He also added, "ACC is looking for a suitable date to host the tournament next year."

BCB game development had already selected their team for the cup, which has now been postponed. The tournament in UAE was expected to include eight teams, that were India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, and two qualifying teams.

ACC has slightly hinted at a rough time in June 2021, when this tournament will be rescheduled. As of now, the event is postponed because of the raging pandemic.

The Under-19 Asia cup started way back in 1989 in Bangladesh where India had won the tournament. India are the defending champions and in the recent 2019 edition, India U-19 beat Bangladesh U-19 by five runs. Till now India have won seven continental tournaments for junior cricketers.
