He is taking part in the ongoing County Championship, as he played a game for Surrey against Somerset at The Oval in London.

Ashwin managed to claim a total of seven wickets in both innings. In the second innings, he made a deadly impact, claiming six for 27, as Somerset was shot out for 69.
