Afghanistan is currently in internal turmoil following the Taliban takeover. Meanwhile, tensions in the country seem to have escalated following a series of blasts at the Kabul airport, leaving 72 dead and over 140 being injured.

While the entire world mourns the sorry situation of the country and prays for peace to return, the Afghan cricketers have been left heartbroken by the same. Top cricketers Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi took to social media on Thursday to express their pain.

“Kabul is bleeding again. STOP KILLING AFGHAN, PLEASE,” said Rashid Khan in a tweet.

Thousands of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred every day, houses & properties being destructed. Thousand families displaced. Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghanistan. We want peace.”
