Kolkata: In the historic day/night Test at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens, India decided to make it a memorable one. Virat Kohli and his men shattered records as they demolished Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs.
The pink ball Test, first-ever on Indian soil, was over on the third day, on Sunday (November 24). India made a clean sweep of the series 2-0 and collected 60 points.

India maintained their grip on the top position in the ICC World Test Championship table. They now have 360 points with an unbeaten record, having won all seven matches.

6. All 19 Bangladesh wickets taken in the Kolkata Test were by pacemen. This is the most wickets taken by Indian pacemen (Ishant Sharma nine, Umesh Yadav eight and Mohammed Shami two) in home Test. The previous best was 17, against Sri Lanka in Kolkata in 2017
7. This is the first time two Indian fast bowlers (Umesh and Ishant) took eight or more wickets in a Test
8. Kohli equalled Australian Ricky Ponting’s record. The Indian captain now has 41 international centuries
9. This was Kohli’s 33rd Test win as a captain. He went past Australian Allan Border’s tally of 32. Kohli is in the top-five of most Test wins by a captain (53 – Graeme Smith, 48 – Ricky Ponting, 41 – Steve Waugh, 36 – Clive Lloyd, 33 – Virat Kohli)
10. This is the first time that India won a Test without their spinners taking a single wicket
