IPL 2021: Sunrisers Hyderabad's T Natarajan tests positive, 6 players isolated

It has just been three days since the IPL 2021 has resumed in the UAE. Meanwhile, there is a COVID scare in the Sunrisers Hyderabad cam again.


Just three days since the Indian Premier League 2021 has resumed in the United Arab Emirates, it has been dealt with a COVID scare. Wednesday's match between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dubai International Stadium is in doubt.

The IPL has confirmed that a player from SRH has tested positive, who happens to be pacer T Natarajan. Following a positive RT-PCR test, he has been isolated, along with six close contacts, while he remains asymptomatic for now.

The players to have been placed in isolation are:
 1. Vijay Shankar - Player
2. Vijay Kumar - Team Manager
3. Shyam Sundar J - Physiotherapist
4. Anjana Vannan - Doctor
5. Tushar Khedkar - Logistics Manager
6. Periyasamy Ganesan - Net Bowler 

"The rest of the contingent including the close contacts underwent RT-PCR tests at 5 AM local time this morning, and the test reports are negative. As a result, tonight's game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals will go ahead at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai," read a statement from IPL.
