India received a major boost with the return of Jasprit Bumrah for the home series against Sri Lanka and Australia. Shikhar Dhawan too made a comeback from injury
New Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah and Shikhar Dhawan returned to India T20I and ODI squads as the BCCI selection panel on Monday (December 23) announced the teams for the home series against Sri Lanka and Australia.
India will play three T20Is against Sri Lanka starting from January 5 and later will host Australia in three ODIs from January 14.

Both Bumrah and Dhawan have regained fitness after being sidelined due to injuries. Vice-captain Rohit Sharma and paceman Mohammed Shami have been rested from Sri Lanka T20Is.
“Jasprit Bumrah is back in both the teams for Sri Lanka and Australia and we have rested Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami for the Sri Lanka T20Is. Shikhar Dhawan also comes back and Sanju Samson will be the back-up opener in T20Is,” chairman of selectors MSK Prasad said after the selection meeting in Delhi.
