Harbhajan Singh gives a shoutout to Farhaan Akhtar's Toofaan (Watch video)

Farhaan Akhtar recently featured in a sports movie named Toofan that revolves around the storyline of a boxer's rise to stardom. The film was released on Amazon Prime Video on July 16 and has been mixedly rated by critics, including Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Bollywood actor Farhaan Akhtar has given distinct recognition to his Bollywood career for having featured in numerous successful movies. His recent addition to his resume happens to be Toofan, a sports film based on a story of a boxer.

Released on July 16 on Amazon Prime Video, the movie has been a hit. While critics have mixedly reviewed it, Akhtar's performance has been severe and commendably rated, as it is rated 4.9 on IMDB. It was his second sports movie after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, where he portrayed the life story of legendary late Indian sprinter Milkha Singh, who passed away last month.

Meanwhile, following the success of Toofan, wishes and congratulatory messages have poured in for Akhtarfrom various top celebrities. He has also been given atop shoutout by veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, as he shared a video on social media, captioned, "What a movie #Toofaan take a bow @faroutakhtar keep making such movies and inspiring ❤️🤗🙏🙏".

In the meantime, Bhajji, too, is preparing for his debut on the silver screen in a South-Indian movie, Friendship, where he would play the lead role for the first time. The teaser of the same was released last month, where his performance has been terrific and rated incredibly.
