Coronavirus: 8 caught at Delhi airport trying to flee to Malaysia

An eight member group was caught in Delhi IGI airport trying to flee to Malaysia  


New Delhi: Eight people were caught at the Delhi IGI airport trying to flee to Malaysia. According to reports, all eight are Malaysian nationals and suspected to have taken part in Tablighi Jamaat event in Nizamuddin.

 The group was trying to board a Malindo Airways flight amid the ongoing lockdown in the country under which all passenger flights have been suspended. It is reported that these eight people were hiding in different parts of Delhi and gathered at the airport on Sunday to flee the country.

Delhi Police questioned them and they have been handed over to health department officials for further action.

The Nizamuddin event has emerged as the latest hotspot after hundreds of COVID-19 positive cases across the country were traced back to the Tablighi Jamaat.
