UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2023 declared; Here's how you can check your marks

UPSC Prelims Result 2023 released! Candidates who have appeared for Civil Services preliminary examination can check their results through the official site of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. Civil Services results can be checked by the steps given below.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CSE). UPSC Preliminary examination was conducted on Sunday, May 28, 2023. UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2023 will be available on the official website at www.upsc.gov.in. A total of 14624 candidates have been recommended by the commission.

• Visit upsc.gov.in to see the Union Public Service Commission's official website.
• Visit the What's New page.
• Select the link that reads "Result: Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2023"
• On the screen, a new webpage will appear.
• On the screen, your UPSC Prelims 2023 Result will show up.
• Take a printout of the result after downloading it for your records.

The main UPSC test will take place on September 15, 2023.The Written Examination will consist of 9 papers of conventional essay type in the subjects set out in sub-section (B) of Section II out of which two papers will be of qualifying in nature. 

According to the UPSC Information Brochure, candidates who get the minimum qualifying marks in the Civil Services (Main) Examination's written portion will be invited by the commission for an interview and personality test. 

Eligible candidates are permitted six attempts at the CSE. However, candidates belonging to SC and ST category are permitted unlimited attempts while OBC candidates can give nine attempts.  Candidates for PwBD in the general and EWS categories are also allowed nine tries.

Additionally, candidates are advised that the marks, cut off scores, and answer keys for the CS (P) Examination, 2023 will only be posted on the Commission's website, https://upsc.gov.in, after the Civil Services Examination, 2023 has concluded and the final result has been announced.
