Electronics major Samsung has set up a display manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh after shutting shop in China.
Samsung's Southwest Asia President and Chief Executive Officer, Ken Kang, who called on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, informed the company had completed the construction of the manufacturing unit in Noida.
An official release stated that the South Korean firm had decided to shift the display manufacturing unit from China to Uttar Pradesh owing to the better industrial environment and investor-friendly policies.
Terming Samsung's Noida factory as the success of the 'Make in India' programme, Yogi Adityanath said that this would help the state's youth to get employment.
