IYR Krishna Rao, former Chief Secretary and Chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation was sacked following his Facebook post and cartoons, posts he had shared which showed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in a bad light.
In fact, CM Naidu made the former IAS officer Krishna Rao as the Chairman of the Brahmin Welfare Corporation after creating the post on the advice of Rao, reported PTI. Currently, TDP leader V Anand Surya has been appointed as the chairman of the Brahmin Welfare Corporation after sacking Rao from the post.
Scroll reported that several party leaders and MLAs had complained Naidu against Rao’s working. Rao was allegedly favouring the opposite party YSR Congress. They also had claimed that the benefits of the committee did not reach the poor.
Speaking about the Facebook Post, which created a ruckus, Naidu is said to have asked Rao to clarify on it when he had met Rao recently in Amaravathi. But soon after the meeting, the decision to sack Rao was announced. In return, Rao defended that he was free to post whatever he wanted and believed in.
But Rao had told that he was trying to get Naidu’s attention from six months, and he was avoiding meeting him. Thus tired of waiting he has posted what he believes is true. However, currently, his FB page is not accessible.
Here is the Facebook post, written by Rao, where he is seen taking a dig at Naidu government for giving entertainment tax exemption to the movie Gautamiputra Satakarni. In this movie, Naidu’s brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna had played the title role. The movie was also told to be propaganda to compare the lead role to Naidu and his achievements.
Rao had also spoken against Naidu’s favours to release Baahubali 2 movie by providing them more theatres for increased ticket prices.
Here is the cartoon he shared, which shows NT Rama Rao, popular actor and founder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The person who had initially shared the post states that this was shared by a TDP leader. This is said to be insulting the TDP which is the ruling party of AP.
In another FB post, Rao has criticised TDP government and Naidu for filing cases against and arresting social media activist Inturi Ravi Kiran. Ravi Kiran had allegedly posted satirical cartoons about CM Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.
This post states that “If you drop one drop of blood, hundreds of ‘Seetharamaraju’s will rise,” hinting that arrest of one Inturi Ravi Kiran will not stop people from posting and writing against CM Naidu.
This is another post shared by Rao, which states that ‘Naidu’s caste politics as exposed by college students.’
