Kannada actor and filmmaker, Rishab Shetty was born on July 7, 1983, at Keradi, Kundapura in Karnataka. He became the talk of the town with his film 'Kantara'.
He is a diploma holder in film direction from the Government Film and TV Institute in Bangalore.
Shetty was an assistant director on A. M. R. Ramesh's 'Cyanide'. He also assisted Arvind Kaushik in TV serials, before his acting debut with 'Tuglak'.
Rishab Shetty made his directional debut with the 2016 film, 'Ricky' which has his bother Rakshit Shetty in the lead role.
Rishab married his wife Pragati Shetty in 2017, and the couple has two kids.
For his 2018 children's film, 'Sarkaari Hiriya Praathamika Shaale Kaasaragodu', Shetty won the National Award in the Best Children’s Film category.
Rishab Shetty made his debut as the lead actor in the 2019 film, Bell Bottom which was a big hit.
Rishab Shetty has two new directorial projects, 'Rudraprayag' and 'SRK126', in the pipeline.
