[Watch] With 13 dead and 100 injured, Barcelona terror attack takes terrorism to a new level of brutality

Synopsis

The attack took place on Thursday evening when a van drove through a busy street in Barcelona. Close to 80 people were hospitalised, 15 of whom are critical. Close to 13 are dead in the incident.

Aftermath videos of the Barcelona terror attack are taking rounds of the Internet, which is creating fresh ripples of frustration across the world. The ghory visuals are proof of the fact that terrorism is going no where and is intensifying by the day. One can see bodies of women and children scattered across the pavement in a pool of blood. While some are receiving the attention of the pedestrians, there are others who are lying listless, waiting for police help.

While the ambulance can be heard blaring in the background, what draws the viewer's attention is the sheer dismay and chaos that prevails after the attack. But that is not all. Authorities are speculating that the terrorist incident in the seaside city of Cambrils and a house explosion farther down the coast in Alcanar are also related. Although ISIS is taking credit for the attacks, police is yet to make any arrest and is still on the hunt for the men behind the attack.

According to reports, on Thursday evening, a van mowed down pedestrians in the popular Las Ramblas avenue in Barcelona, injuring 80 people seriously. 15 of the injured are said to be critical. Two suspects- one from Morocco and another from Spain are said to have been arrested. However, another is still on the run as he abandoned his van and fled after the attacks, said police.
