According to media reports, the young monkey was taken from its mother immediately after birth when zoo officials detected indications of mistreatment. Caretakers saw that the inexperienced mother was unable to adequately nurse and safeguard the infant, which is not unusual for first-time primates.

He needs to feel sheltered and safe in order to move around and even feed himself. If you noticed, he clings completely to his stuffed toy.
