While some commended him for confronting a situation front on and demonstrating sensitivity, others were less impressed.

As the world saw another double suicide bombing near Kabul airport, which killed 13 US soldiers and 72 Afghans, US President Joe Biden addressed the media, vowing to strike against the culprits. Biden delivered his statement from the White House, paying respect to the dead soldiers and emphasising the need of continuing the evacuation plan from Kabul until US forces are entirely evacuated as scheduled by August 31.

During his news conference, a photograph of the Democratic President with his head bowed down in a solemn expression went viral on social media. While some commended him for confronting a situation front on and demonstrating sensitivity, others were less impressed.

Take a look at how netizens reacted:

Did Joe handle this in the most efficient way possible? Probably not, but this has been a 20 year nightmare & no way was it ever going to end clean. I admire the man for making the right choice, despite having to fight terrorism on TWO fronts, there & at home. pic.twitter.com/E0QhDbzmZA
