Tamil Nadu veterinary surgeons remove 52 kg plastic from cow’s stomach in Chennai

Chennai: Surgeons of Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University removed 52 kg of plastic waste from the stomach of a cow. Dr Velavan, surgeon, said, "Plastic had occupied 75% of the rumen, which is one of the four chambers of the cow’s stomach.”

He further said that it was a long and complicated operation and it took more than five hours to complete the operation.
