Mercy mission amid coronavirus lockdown, grocery kits distributed to Northeastern community

Bengaluru: As the heart-wrenching news of many poor and minority communities continue to pour in, government department DIPR,  BJP spokesperson and actress Malavika Avinash along with start-up company Nasscom extended their hand to help these people in Bengaluru. While there have been many incidents reported with respect to lockdown violations, here's an example of the exact opposite. Keeping in mind social distancing norms, representatives of the North East community staying in Bengaluru were given grocery kits containing rice, daal, oil and other essentials. The representatives who collected the kits, later distributed it to families of their community. The initiative of distributing grocery kits was taken up by kind-hearted citizens - commissioner DIPR SH Sidaramappa, Malavika Avinash, Major Pradeep Shourya Arya, Dr PRS Chetan and Vijay Grover.
