‘Jai Shree Ram’ sloganeering at Kabaddi event in Shivamogga results in group clashes
A Kabaddi event at Karnataka CM BS Yediurppa's home district Shivamogga turned into a battle field following raising 'Jai Shree Ram' slogans.
The incident happened at Bhadravathi Taluk yesterday evening during a match between Malnad Warriors and Style Time.
The Malnad Warriors led by Shehajeevi Umesh was supported by MLA Sangamesh and team members took objection to BJP leader Dharmaprasad's team member's religious sloganeering during the match.
Immediately the police present at the spot resorted to lathicharge to disperse the crowd.
Following the clashes, some of them were taken to a local hospital and their injuries are said to be superficial.
