Coronavirus: Kerala to decide soon on complete lockdown

Thiruvananthapuram: A Cabinet meeting will be held on July 27 to decide whether a total lockdown should be implemented in Kerala as COVID-19 cases are increasing in the state. Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday (July 22) said that the government "may have to consider" implementing total lockdown in the state.

A total of 1,038 people were confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 in the state on Wednesday. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state is 15,032. At present there are 8,818 active COVID-19 cases and 53 among them are in ICU and nine on ventilator.
