Andhra Pradesh: Teacher turns tormentor, ties and beats up students as punishment

Anantapur: Photographs of students being tied to desks with ropes have gone viral on social media. The incident occurred at a school at Masanam Peta, Kadiri in Anantapur district.

Pawan, a student of third standard and Nawaz of fifth standard in the school were tied with ropes as they had come to school without pencils.

Students claim that they were being punished as per the order of headmaster of the school. As photographs of them started doing the rounds on social media, Andhra Pradesh education minister A Suresh directed the officials concerned to conduct a thorough inquiry and initiate immediate action against the guilty.
