No lockdown but increase in COVID-19 care centers in Bengaluru

Hajj Bhavan and Sri Sri Ashram converted as COVID-19 care centres. The BBMP has now 800 beds to care for patients and will increase it to 3,000 in coming days

Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has come up with an 800-bed COVID care centre. In north Bengaluru, Hajj Bhavan has been converted as a COVID care centre with fine quality of beds and in south, similar arrangements have been made at Sri Sri Ravishankar’s Ashram as its Ayurveda centre is now turned into a COVID care facility. Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has decided against imposing lockdown in Bengaluru.
