Bengaluru: Hoping that this year’s animal waste will come down due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic when compared to last year’s 90 tonnes, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will continue with its last year’s designated animal waste pickup points. According to BBMP’s joint commissioner for solid waste management, the waste this time will be very less due to the pandemic. Besides this, there are water supply issues in many areas. Keeping the safety of the public in mind, gathering of livestock will not be allowed in Bengaluru this time. The arrangement for sale of livestock is made in places like Kolar, Hoskote on the city's outskirts.
