
Xiaomi plans to ring in the New Year by launching the Redmi Note 4X in India or so it is believed. The smartphone is a new variant of the Redmi Note 4.
A leaked image, said to be of the alleged Note 4X reveals that the device will run Android Marshmallow with a layer of MIUI 8. The image also shows a curved display at the edges. According to Techupdate3, the Redmi Note 4X will come powered by the new Snapdragon 653 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM.
It will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. On the storage front, one can expect a 64GB model. Reports floating online claim the device will launch no later than next month. It is being speculated to be priced starting around Rs 11,000 - Rs 12,000. However, there hasn't been an official announcement from Xiaomi yet.
The company had launched the Note 4, a successor to the Note 3, in August. It came with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, MediaTek Helio X20, 2/3GB RAM variants, and 64GB storage expandable up to 256GB.
