The Mi Max 2 is a successor to the Xiaomi Mi Max that was launched with a large 6.4-inch display, placing it somewhere between a smartphone and tablet. The Xiaomi Mi Max also sports a large 6.44-inch display, just like its predecessor. It comes with a full metal unibody design that promises improved one hand use.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 625 coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the storage, it offers 64GB and 128GB onboard storage options. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat with a layer of MIUI 8 atop.
The device comes fitted with a 12MP (Sony IMX386 sensor) rear snapper and a 5MP front-facing camera. On the back, the company has included a fingerprint scanner. the device also gets USB Type C port.
Finally, a large 5300mAh batter fuels the device, promising 2 days of battery life. The device also supports Quick charge 3.0 and parallel charging.
The 4GB + 64GB variant of the Mi Max 2 is priced at RMB1699, which is approximately Rs 15,900. The 4GB + 128GB unit is priced at RMB 1999 that translates to roughly Rs 18,700.
