Synopsis

Xiaomi Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 will be up for open sale today at 2 pm IST. Prospective buyers can now purchase these phones without the hassles of registration or limited availability constraints of the flash sale.

The Mi 5 is priced at ₹24,999 for the 32GB storage variant with 3GB RAM onboard. The Redmi Note 3 is available in 16GB and 32 GB storage models at ₹9,999 and ₹11,999 respectively wherein the former ships with 2GB RAM while the latter comes with 3GB RAM.

Some of the noteworthy features in the Mi 5 include 5.15in full HD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 processor, dual SIM capability, fingerprint scanner, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

The phone features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 sensor on the rear with 6P lens and phase detection auto-focus and a 4MP front camera for taking selfies. The rear camera also supports LED flash, optical image stabilisation and sapphire glass protection for the lens.

Mi 5's power-packed hardware is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port and NFC.
