  • Facebook-owned WhatsApp is said to be testing new features.
  • It may soon allow users to recall, edit sent messages.

Most of us know the woes of a message sent accidentally, don't we? Now, WhatsApp may soon ensure that you are not caught in such a tricky situation by allowing to recall and edit sent messages.

This piece of news comes from WABetaInfo who has shared the details of a beta version testing. A series of tweets show how users will be able to recall and edit messages. However, they can edit only the recent messages and not the older ones, adds the report. But revoking can delete messages sent out by a user, even if they are already read by the recipient.

The new update will be made available with version iOS 2.17.1.869. However, there is no word on when Facebook-owned WhatsApp plans on releasing it to users.

WhatsApp has been adding timely tweaks to its app all through the year. It was just recently that the company added the video calling feature, joining its competitors like Hangouts and Skype among others in doing so.
