Vodafone has announced Superday and Superweek plans. These plans are for prepaid customers. They bring benefits such as unlimited locals calls along with free data.
To begin with, the Vodafone Superday lets customers make unlimited local as well as STD calls on the Vodafone network, and get 100MB of data at just Rs 19. It is valid for a day, and those with a non-4G handset, will get 50MB 3G/4G data. However, users have to own a 4G supported handset.
Vodafone SuperWeek offers unlimited local and STD calls on Vodafone network with 250MB data, again only for 4G enabled devices, at a price of just Rs 49. Non 4G handset users will get 50MB data. Similarly, at Rs 89, Vodafone offers unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone local as well as STD calls, along with 100 minutes of Vodafone to other network (local + STD).
The last few months have been very exciting in the Indian telecom space. Jio disrupted the markets with its free data offers and other companies tried to match up to the deals, which turned out to be win-win for consumers. Meanwhile, Jio's free data and voice services have cost the government about ₹685 crore.
