Sharp X1 Android One phone promises four days of battery life

This Android One (yes, you heard that right!) device is the third to enter the Japanese market. The Sharp X1 Android One is priced at JPY 70,524 (roughly Rs 40,500) for the unlocked version.

Android One, as you know in India, is Google's low-end phones with design, software updates, etc. manages by Google. In India, we've have seen Google dish out Android One Phones from Spice, Karbonn and Micromax. However, the X1 clearly falls in the premium segment, unlike Android one devices we saw here.

In terms of specs, the Sharp X1 comes with a 5.3-inch Full HD display. Under the hood, it gets a Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It gets 32GB onboard storage is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. The device support Android Pay and will run Android 7.1, along with monthly security updates.

It gets a 16.4MP rear snapper and a 8MP front camera. Finally, a 3900mAh battery completes the package, promising to last up to four days on a single charge. Though there is no word on this device launching in India, devices launched here show that there has been growing emphasis on the battery life.

Some of the recent smartphone launches have clearly given importance to the aspect. For instance, Gionee launched the A1 with 4010mAh battery. On the other hand, the Moto E4 Plus comes with 5000mAh battery. A Chinese company Oukitel launched the K10000 with a whopping 10,000mAh battery.
