Samsung has finally pulled the wraps off its highly anticipated Galaxy Note 8 for the Indian market and the device carries a whopping price tag of Rs 67,900. The pre-orders begin today and it will be available through select retail stores, Amazon.in and Samsung Shop starting September 21.
The device will now come with a bigger 6.3-inch edge-to-edge AMOLED Infinity display.
The larger display features 1440 x 2960 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, it gets the powerful 1.6GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. The Note 8 also showcases Samsung's Bixby voice assistant. Bixby is activated via voice input. It responds to the phrase "Hi, Bixby" and also when the dedicated button for Bixby is held down.

In terms of camera, it gets a 12-megapixel dual cameras on the rear and a 8-megapixel front snapper. It's the first from Samsung to get dual camera lens. It packs Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) on both the wide-angle lens and the telephoto lens.
It comes with fingerprint/iris scanner, and will come dipped in Midnight Black, Maple Gold, Orchid Grey and Deep Sea Blue colour options. It gets a new improved S Pen, with some highlights such as Live Messages ability for creating shareable animations.

— Samsung Mobile India (@SamsungMobileIN) September 12, 2017The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, Headphones, 3G and 4G. The Galaxy Note 8 runs Android 7.1.1. It is fuelled by a 3300mAh battery. In the US, it is priced around $930 (roughly Rs 59,500).
