Reliance Jio to withdraw Summer Surprise: No more free data

Synopsis

The 15 April Jio membership deadline for free data is now invalid. Jio will withdraw the Summer Surprise offer over the next few days

The Jio Prime offer that was ending on 31 March was extended until 15 April. This wasn't the only great news as the company had also added some bonus goodies to woo those who haven't yet become Prime members. Those who would recharge for₹303 or above before the 15 April deadline were offer another three months of free services. However, unlike the Happy new Year offer, the Summer Surprise was short-lived.

Now, Reliance Jio has announced to withdrawn the offer after TRAI ordered it to do so. This brings in some relief to rival telcos like Airtel, Vodafone and others, who've been struggling to combat Jio's lucrative plans.

"Today, Trai has advised Jio to withdraw the three months complimentary benefits of Jio Summer Surprise," Jio said. Those hoping to become members before 15 April, should know that Jio will withdraw the Summer Surprise offer over the next few days.

However, those who have already subscribed to the plan before the discontinuation can avail of the benefits of complimentary services for the next three months. But, it won't be applicable here on.
