Now enjoy in-ride experience with Ola Play

Synopsis

Ola passengers can now access Apple Music, Sony LIV and also music finder app, Audio Compass and fashion shopping app, Fynd. Service to be made available to Ola Select passengers first. The company plans to bring Ola Play to all its cars. 

 

Country's premium taxi aggregator Ola recently unveiled their brand new car entertainment platform that will allow passengers to enjoy music, watch movies and TV shows during their rides. Passengers will also be able to access Apple Music, Sony LIV and also music finder app, Audio Compass and fashion shopping app, Fynd in their smartphone while travelling. 

 

This entertainment service will be made available to the Ola Select passengers in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi from this week and Ola Prime passengers will be also to enjoy it from next month. The company plans to bring Ola Play in all its cars in future. 

 

The company has partnered with Qualcomm for hardware assistance to bring this new addition and has also worked with Mahindra & Mahindra car company to integrate this in their cars. 

 

Ola is also inviting third-party developers to create apps to be added on Ola Play for passengers using Ola cabs. 

 

Speaking at the launch event Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Ola, said, “As a young Indian company, we’re proud to be at the forefront of the Startup India movement. Ola Play is a world first, built in India by an  Indian team, which showcases that we can do better than the best in the  world, and be global leaders in technology and innovation,”  

 

In 2014, Ola's main competitor Uber partnered with Spotify to allow passengers to play music from their Spotify playlist, however Ola is promising to offer much more than just music or limited entertainment tools.
