Motorola's cheapest phones in the pipeline: Moto C and Moto C Plus

Synopsis

Moto C and Moto C Plus in the pipeline.  Both will have same display size, but differ in specs. These are touted to be the cheapest phones from Motorola.   

The company that has found considerable success in the budget market, despite steep competition, is all set to bring in Moto C and Moto C Plus, according to VentureBeat. So, the report adds that Moto C will be the most affordable Moto devices.

 

Prolific tipsters Evan Blass, known to offer accurate information about unannounced phones, has revealed the specs that include 5-inch display for both device that will run Android 7.0 Nougat. With both devices featuring the same display size, it indicates that the Plus may come with a better specs sheet comparatively. The Plus variant comes with a 720p HD resolution and support for 4G LTE. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and 1/2GB RAM.

 

The C may also get an only-3G variant along with a 4G LTE variant, according to the report. The 3G variant is aimed at emerging markets and targets entry-level first time users. The storage space will vary depending upon the markets, but one can expect 8GB or 16GB onboard with expandable microSD slots.

 

On the camera front, the Moto C gets a 5MP rear snapper and a 2MP front-facing camera. The Plus model slightly differs sporting an 8MP rear snapper. Both models will be dipped in black, white, gold, and red colour options.  Moto C will be fuelled by a 2350mAh battery and the C Plus by a 4000mAh battery.
