Following the trend, Tata Motors has also announced that they have slashed prices of their passenger vehicles by Rs 33,00-2,17,000 post GST.
Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, has been quoted as saying, "Following the roll out of GST, we have decided to pass on the entire benefit to our customers. We are offering a price reduction of upto 12% ranging between Rs 3300 and Rs 217000 depending on the model and variant. With a strong focus to encourage positive buying sentiments, we have taken this step."
Previously, French car major Renault announced a reduction in price of its vehicles by up to 7 per cent in India, ranging between Rs 5,200 and Rs 1.04 lakh, to pass the GST benefit to its customers.

Honda Cars India has brought down prices of its models by up to Rs 1.31 lakh with immediate effect to help customers reap GST benefit.

Jazz by up to Rs 10,031
WR-V by up to Rs 10,064
Mid-sized sedan City has been reduced in the range of Rs 16,510 and Rs 28,005
The BR-V prices will come down by up to Rs 30,387
Its premium SUV CR-V has also seen a price drop of up to Rs 1,31,663.
Honda is yet to decide on the revised pricing of Accord Hybrid, as far as GST rules go, hybrids no longer enjoy a discount.
