Jio had disrupted the telecom market last year, and the effects are seen till today. The latest Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan updated plans have received a befitting reply from its arch rivals Airtel and Vodafone. Here's a look at what new all three telcos have announced.
Jio
Recently, Jio had updated some of its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans. To begin with, the Rs 309 and Rs 349 4G data plans were updated to offer a validity of 56 days, from 28 days that was available earlier. Both offer unlimited voice calls, text. The Rs 309 recharge will bring to you 56GB data increased from 28GB earlier, and a cap of 1GB/day. At Rs 349, users will get 10 + 10GB data without any cap on daily usage.
The Rs 399 plan has been updated to offer 84 days of validity over the 28 days it offered earlier with 1GB/day cap. The data has also been increased to 84GB.
But, the most recent announcements include Rs 153 plan that brings 28-days unlimited data with 500MB per day cap, post which the speed will drop. It will include unlimited SMS and calls along with access to Jio apps. However, it is for JioPhone users. Here’s how you can get the phone for free.
To ensure data is affordable and fits every pocket, it also announced Rs 23 sachet offering free voice calls, SMS and unlimited data with a validity of two days. Then there's the Rs 53 sachet that offers week-long validity with unlimited voice calls, SMS and access to Jio apps.
Vodafone
At Rs 244, Vodafone has announced new plans that will offer users 70GB of 4G data that will be valid for 70 days. It also brings unlimited local and STD calls. However, the 70 days validity is available for only the first recharge, post that the validity will be 35 days.
While Jio has sachets, Vodafone offers something similar. At Rs 19, users will get validity of one day for 100MB data, unlimited local and STD calls. At Rs 45, it offers validity for 7 days, and users get 250MB data and unlimited local and STD calls.
Airtel
Airtel has also announced a new Rs 244 offer. Under this offer, users get 1GB data per day for 70 days. It also bundles 300 minutes of free Airtel to Airtel calls daily, and 1200 minutes for a week.
Airtel's cheaper data plans are available at Rs 29 and Rs 98. At Rs 29, users get 200MB 3G/4G data for 30 days. For Rs 98, users will get 1GB 2G data for 28 days.
