Jio created ripples in the telecom sector when it arrived with 4G data plans, and now wants to take the home broadband segment by storm. The JioFiber service is said to come by Diwali and bring to users 100GB of data at 100Mbps for a period of three months.
The image below (via Gadgets360) shows that the company plans to make a grand entry, just like it planned for the Jio SIM with free 100Mbps connection with monthly 100GB data. The speed post 100GB will dip to 1Mbps.
So, for the first three months, you can enjoy the service with zero charges. Residential gateway will come with the latest Wi-Fi standard for a refundable security deposit of Rs 4500, says the report. Jio will come with a custom router that will be included in the same price.
The JioFiber service has been hitting the headlines for some time now. Now, it is believed that the company plans to offer its services in nine cities including Ahmedabad, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara, and Vishakhapatnam.
Meanwhile, Jio has updated its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans for both postpaid and prepaid users. For instance, the Rs 309 and Rs 349 data plans have been updated to offer a validity of 56 days, from 28 days that was available earlier. Both offer unlimited voice calls, text. The Rs 309 recharge will bring to you 56GB data increased from 28GB earlier, and a cap of 1GB/day. At Rs 349, users will get 10 + 10GB data without any cap on daily usage.
