Instagram is revamping its Reels and Live section; launching new features for creators

Synopsis

Instagram is rolling out new updates for Reels and IG Live to help the content creators get the proper reach on the social media platform.

The new Instagram updates will help the content creators and business accounts understand their audience engagement, content reach and evaluate their own performance. The new features for Reels will compete with the rival app TikTok.

Recently, Instagram has allowed content creators to evaluate metrics, including views, likes and comments on a Reel. The new updates will give the creators a chance to assess their performance by using these metric tools, including Plays, Accounts Reached, Likes, Comments, Saves, and Shares for Reels.

Instagram is also rolling out a few metric options for IG Live, including Accounts Reached, Peak Concurrent Viewers, Comments, and Shares for Instagram Live.

The platform will also show thorough information about Reach in Account Insights. These new tools will help content creators know better about their reach, content formats, and the most compelling content at getting range.

Instagram has planned to add new options to Insights in future. The social media platform will also provide Insights on the desktop version, and it will launch more features for content creators throughout 2021.
