The highlight of the U11 is it's the world's first smartphone with the all-new squeeze technology HTC Edge Sense. The company says that it offers users advanced touch functions such as short squeeze and, squeeze and hold. Besides, you can customise the squeeze gesture to launch apps and games.
On the specs front, it sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with support for Corning Gorilla Glass. It runs Android Nougat 7.1 and comes powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6GB of RAM. Dipped in silver and black, the device is resistant to splashes.
The 128GB onboard storage can be expanded further up to 2TB via microSD card slot. It gets a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.4-micron pixel, BSI sensor, OIS that can shoot 4K videos. On the front, it gets a 16MP shooter.
Finally, a 3000mAh battery completes the package with Quick Charge support. HTC U11 will be up for pre-order online on the HTC e-store and Amazon from 17 June. It will also hit offline stores by the end of the month. Those who pre-order the device will also receive a flip-cover from HTC worth Rs 1999 for free.
