Google to host gaming festival this year

Don’t forget to mark September 24 on your calendar, as Google has announced it as the D-day for a game festival in San Francisco.

Developers willing to participate in the big battle can register themselves with Google by August 14. However, publicly listed companies will not be welcome in the competition, said a Forbes report.

Developers in India will have to be disappointed as the company has invited participants only from the US or Canada. Coders will have to publish their games on the Google Play Store to validate their participation. 

The report said Google would showcase the top 30 games, and three of those will be picked as the winners. The winner will also get an advertisement campaign from Google to help them sell the game.

The technology major would be more interested to see the games which are smart and based on the virtual reality concept.
