Facebook Messenger App gets some cool new updates

In its latest update, Facebook has added birthday reminders to its Messenger App, which will give you a heads up on the upcoming birthdays among your friends. 

The mobile Facebook Messenger app already offers its users video calls and now the social media major has gone a step further. In the new Messenger app, users can see their recent chats at the top, followed by a section called 'Favourites' - for their frequent contacts. 

In addition to that, the new version will have an 'Active Now' option, which is just like the web version of Facebook and will show contacts that are available for a chat, audio call or a video call. 

"With these updates, we’re aiming to make Messenger simpler to use by presenting more relevant information. We look forward to building even more ways to make using Messenger better in the future," said a Facebook official post.
