Twitter to have live videos
Synopsis
Live videos have gained much popularity across social media platforms like SnapChap and Facebook, now Twitter wants a slice of that pie.
The new feature was released a few days earlier on limited devices for testing purposes.
The announcement was made by the company via a tweet on Wednesday and the feature will soon be available across the Android and iOS devices too. However, there was no mention about a release for Windows. Everyone seems to be ignoring Windows; no wonder Microsoft themselves have decided to do away Windows phones?
Twitter will now provide users with the options to add a photo, a GIF, a video, or even go live with the Periscope videos.
The microblogging major has not said anything about the character limits of the tweet or the maximum size of the videos that can be embedded. Even the availability of caption space in the Periscope videos has not yet been confirmed.
Periscope videos are not a prominent feature on Twitter yet and are available with the options of embedding GIF, media, polls and locations.
