Apple engineer fired as daughter's iPhone X video goes viral

Synopsis

The video went viral and her father, an engineer with Apple, was fired for breaking the employee code. It's a totally harmless video showing her shopping and dining, and then she visits her father on the Apple campus who hands her the iPhone X for sometime. She shot a 45 second hands-on video with the plush device.

Apple can get very secretive when it comes to its products. So, it wasn't surprising when the company fired an engineer because his daughter posted a video of the then-unreleased iPhone X.

Brooke Amelia Peterson posted a five-minute video of shot in September that includes the unreleased iPhone X. It's a totally harmless video showing her shopping and dining, and then she visits her father on the Apple campus who hands her the iPhone X for sometime. She then shoots a 45 second hands-on video with the plush device.

The video went viral and her father, an engineer with Apple, was fired as it included employee-only QR codes. In a subsequent video she says, "At the end of the day, when you work for Apple it doesn’t matter how good of a person you are. If you break a rule, they just have no tolerance.
