In the Thanjavur collector's office, the farmers’ grievance day meeting was held on Thursday Farmer said they have been requesting to disburse the crop insurance but central and state governments are blaming each other The farmers expressed their protest in front of the collector and walked out of the meeting room

In the Thanjavur collector's office, the farmers’ grievance day meeting was held on Thursday, July 20.

The farmers who participated in the meeting complained that for the past six years they have been requesting to disburse the crop insurance but the central and state governments are blaming each other.

Following this, the farmers expressed their protest in front of the collector and walked out of the meeting room. Outside the collector's office they staged an agitation where they dumped grains from their crops on the road.
