It is said that the Tamil Nadu Producers Association has been planning to release Tamil films directly in digital and DTH format. An app is said to be launched soon after a discussion on the possibilities, with the directors and the members of the Actors Association.
The producers have arrived at this decision as the distributors and the theatre owners are often acting against them. They believe that this app would reduce the cost of promotion for the film.
They also believe that the film piracy, which is a great threat to each and every person in film industry, would be brought to a closure.
