A 45-year-old man was gored to death by a bull during a bull race in a village in Tamil Nadu Murugesan was injured when a bull raged into the spectators. He was declared as brought dead Another man, also named Murugesan, was attacked by another bull. He is in a critical condition

In a tragic accident, a 45-year-old man was gored to death by a bull during a manju virattu event (bull race) conducted in a village in Tamil Nadu.

The incident occurred in Karaikudi in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, August 8. Another man, who sustained grievous injuries, was rushed to Sivaganga Government Hospital.

Both the deceased and the injured were spectators of the event conducted in Peyanpatti village. The event was conducted without permission, reported the Times of India.

The deceased has been identified as Murugesan, 45, of O Siruvayal village near Karaikudi. He sustained injuries when a bull raged through the spectators. Murugesan died on the spot.

The other man, also named Murugesan suffered injuries when another bull ran into the crowd. His condition is critical, reports TOI.

The Kundrakudi police detained 10 organisers of the event.
