Tamil Nadu: AIADMK merger talks emerge again

Synopsis

Tamil Nadu CM E Palaniswami spoke of the two AIADMK factions getting merged KC Palanisamy, who belongs to O Panneerselvam's faction met the chief minister after his statement

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami made a comment on July 20, 2017, that there is a chance of the two AIADMK factions getting merged.

Meanwhile, KC Palanisamy, who belongs to the AIADMK (Puratchi Thalaivi Amma) faction of O Panneerselvam, has met the chief minister right after his statement.

After the meeting, KC Palanisamy said, “It is an unplanned meeting. The chief minister has shared many opinions with me. He said just as we have a mutual view to merging the factions we should also agree with each other in the functioning of the government.”


This meeting has happened right when OPS faction has been demanding a CBI probe into Gutka allegation.
