Panneerselvam-Dinakaran spat intensifies

The conflict between Chief Minister Palaniswami and Dinakaran has intensified.  The Chief Minister’s photo, official announcements and other news stories have been banned from publishing in AIADMK’s official newspaper. Earlier, there were numerous reports against  O Panneerselvam when he turned against Sasikala.

The AIADMK’s official daily, ‘Namadhu MGR’ is now in the direct control of Sasikala’s family members. 

Earlier, right when O Panneerselvam turned against Sasikala, they published countless news against him. Later the news articles were all about Sasikala’s nephew Dinakaran and Chief Minister Palaniswami. But the first resentment aroused between the two when Dinakaran decided to stand for the RK Nagar by-election.

Following the difference of opinion over many decisions, the AIADMK was split into different factions. At the end of the dispute, 35 MLAs met Dinakaran and joined in his team. But now, Palaniswami’s team has managed to bring most of his MLAs to their side. 

Palaniswami is making use of the power to bring the party and the regime under his control. Angered by this, Dinakaran has banned the publishing of news stories related to the announcements and activities of the Chief Minister.

Yesterday, the newspaper had no news stories related to him. Even the official government announcements were not seen. Instead, the first page the newspaper had the news on Pugazhendi who is reported to be filing a defamation case against DIG Roopa.
