Meet the Tamil Nadu  girl who got selected for the Commonwealth Games

Synopsis

Punitha hails from a small village-Thogamalai of Karur district. She got this opportunity by winning at the National Sports Events. Punitha will be participating in the long jump event. 

Hailing from the village Thogamalai of Karur district, a girl named Punitha has qualified to participate in the Commonwealth Youth Games. She has earned this opportunity by winning a medal in the National sport events. 

The Commonwealth Youth Games for players between 14 and 18 would begin on 18 July, 2017 in Bahamas. Punitha, who is a long jump participant, would represent India among 13 players. 

She is currently in her first year of college in Nammakkal. Punita said that her aim is to win the gold in Olympic Games and bring glory to the nation.
