DMK MLAs deliver secret letter to the secretariat office in Tamil Nadu

Synopsis

A sealed letter has been taken to the secretariat office by the DMK MLAs It is speculated that the letter is another complaint by DMK against AIADMK DMK President alleged that the ruling AIADMK is sustaining itself only to carry on corruption

A sealed letter was taken to the office of the chief secretary by the DMK MLAs on Friday, June 30, 2017. This has created a furore. It is a known fact that the DMK has lodged many complaints against AIADMK government on several issues including gutka case.

It was believed that the MLAs have requested to take action against the officials who are allegedly involved in the bribery case.

When asked about this to the MLAs one of them told the reporters, “We do not know what was written in the letter. We were asked by the leader to hand over the letter.”

Meanwhile, DMK President MK Stalin has said he would work relentlessly to topple the AIADMK government.

“The AIADMK government is always repeating the same statement that they would take action if the information comes in. They give this standard reply not only for the handloom issue but the milk, rice, bribery and the gutka cases. They do not take any action after that. The sale of gutka is no less than murder. People will lose their lives if they consume gutka. The Health and Family Welfare department is formed to protect the lives of individuals, but the Health Minister Vijaya Baskar has acted contrary to this purpose. They are continuing to make unacceptable mistakes, and hence we will relentlessly fight through legal ways to topple AIADMK,” he said.
